The U.R.E are a 4 piece indie rock band from Essex.
Performing together for 10 years, The U.R.E have earned the reputation for being one of the most energetic, and exciting bands 
on the covers circuit.

Originally starting out writing and performing there own material in illustrious venues like the Carling Islington 
Academy, The U.R.E ventured into the local covers scene, gaining in the process the reputation for being
one of the very best live bands.

Steve J

Steve is 30 years old and lives in Romford Essex. He has been playing the bass and singing for 19 years. His main musical influences are the Beatles, Foo fighters, Radiohead and Muse, although his range of playing styles also includes reggae and funk. The original guitarist Steve auditioned was friends with Chris, brought him along to rehearsal one day ...and the rest is history!

Chris J

Chris Jones also comes from Romford, is 31 years old (no relation of Steve incase you were wondering?) and has been playing the guitar for about 20 years. Chris also plays the drums & keys. Chris's main influences were Stella, the Rock and Roll lifestyle and Pink Floyd that was until he became a dad. Chris actually started off being the drummer of the band but soon switched to lead guitar after he re-discovered his true calling.

Tommy V

Tommy Vegas is 24 years old and comes from Romford, he joined the band in June 2004. Tom has been playing for about 15 years now and has become a integral member of the band and has built up a strong partnership with Chris on guitar. Tom is influenced by Muse, Radiohead, Buckley.

Chris P

Chris is also 24 years old and comes from Romford, he joined the U.R.E in August 2008. Chris was introduced to the band by long term friend Tom and has been playing for about 14 years.

Chris is influenced by all different styles from rock to Dance, to obscure underground.
